The aim of the GDPR is to strengthen data protection for EU citizens and residents and to give them greater control of their personal data. Keep in mind, even if you are not based in the EU, it applies to your company if you have customers coming from the EU.
GDPR is important for tour operators, activity providers and other professionals in the travel industry. Tour operators share customers’ personal data on a daily basis as it is a part of the booking process.
