Green Adventure is a Romanian travel agency that offers one-day and multi-day adventure tours. Two years ago, they decided to digitize their operations and implement Orioly.

Green Adventure is a Romanian agency specializing in active tourism across three continents. They focus on delivering adventurous experiences while providing a highly personalized approach that ensures guests feel safe and, as they say, “home-away-from-home,” even in the most remote locations. By implementing an online booking system, their goal was to make their tours and experiences more accessible and to simplify the entire reservation process for their guests.
Before integrating Orioly, Green Adventure managed reservations and payments manually through a complex and time-consuming process: they confirmed bookings via email, manually issued and sent invoices, recorded reservations in Google Sheets, and individually sent logistical information to each customer. This process was inefficient and prone to errors, leading to overbookings or missed opportunities due to delayed responses. In addition to wanting to simplify the reservation and payment process for clients, they also struggled to integrate analytics tools like Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to track where their website visitors were coming from and in what volume. Another major challenge was issuing invoices in compliance with Romania’s specific tax laws.
With the implementation of Orioly, the time spent on manual reservation and payment management was significantly reduced. Internal processes were streamlined, and the time saved was invested into business growth. They successfully lowered the costs related to their customer support team while increasing the number of tours sold. Communication with guests was automated, ensuring that everyone receives timely information regarding tour details or any changes.
Beyond the automation-related improvements, Orioly’s implementation led to a 30% increase in operational efficiency within the first year of use. They also managed to expand their tour offerings, explore new destinations, and grow both their client base and overall revenue. Direct bookings increased significantly, and guest feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The simplified booking process and seamless communication leave a lasting impression and lead to valuable word-of-mouth recommendations — which is crucial in this industry.
Another key benefit is the ability to extract and connect data from Orioly with other systems, including invoicing platforms, to comply with Romanian tax regulations that require each invoice to be registered with the tax authority along with the customer’s address. The Orioly team assisted by making specific adjustments and providing access to API integration, allowing for data display in other software solutions when needed.
