How can I add additional fees or add-ons?

Within this article you will learn how to set up additional fees for your product as well as add non-mandatory items that the buyer can choose to add to their booking.

Once you have finished setting up your departures and customising your advanced settings for your product, the next step in the creation process is to add any fees or addons that your product requires. Note that if you do not have any additional fees or addons you can move on to the next step.

Currently there are two types of fees that can be added to your product, and those are Reservation fees and Traveler fees.

Reservation Fees

This type of fee is most commonly used to set up a fee that would transfer the cost of the Orioly commission or the Payment gateway fee to the traveler.

  1. Click on Add reservation fee button.
  2. Add a name for your fee (e.g. Online reservation fee).
  3. Add the price of the fee, can be set as a fixed value or a percentage of the total booking value.
  4. Add the tax rate associated with the fee.
  5. Choose if the fee price is fixed or variable. If the price is not fixed, the buyer will not be able to make a payment on the initial booking.
  6. Click on Save to add the fee to your product.

Traveler Fees

This type of fee is most commonly used to set up a fee that would be bound to a specific price category that you have defined on the Departures step.

  1. Click on Add traveler fee button.
  2. Add a name for your fee (e.g. Nature conservation fee).
  3. Add the price of the fee, can be set as a fixed value or a percentage of the total booking value.
  4. Add the tax rate associated with the fee.
  5. Choose the price category that the fee will be bound to.
  6. Choose if the fee price is fixed or variable. If the price is not fixed, the buyer will not be able to make a payment on the initial booking.
  7. Click on Save to add the fee to your product.

Add-ons

Add-ons are considered to be any type of additional items that are not, by default, included in your products pricing, and are usually set up for souvenirs, photos, wine, etc.

  1. Click on Add addon button.
  2. Add a name for your addon (e.g. Picture set ).
  3. Add the price of the add-on, can be set as a fixed value or a percentage of the total booking value.
  4. Add the tax rate associated with the add-on.
  5. Click on Save to add the add-on to your product.
