How can I set up Paymob?

Paymob is an Egyptian fintech company that offers payment solutions and services to businesses, enabling secure and convenient electronic transactions.

If you work with Paymob, in this article you will learn how to set up this payment gateway in order to collect payments for your online bookings.

Basic instructions

1. Login to your Orioly account then click Settings & Preference on the top-right dropdown menu.
2. Find Paymob among the payment gateways, and click Add Gateway.

Setting up Paymob

In order to set up Paymob within your Orioly account, you should do the following:

1. Copy the required data from your Paymob account
2. Paste the data into the Paymob form
3. Select the payment currency you have set up on your Paymob account
4. Click Apply

NOTE: In order to have your Paymob account fully integrated into Orioly, you need to add a webhook within the Paymob Dashboard.

Locating the Paymob API KEY

1. Login to the Dashboard – https://accept.paymob.com/portal2/en/login
2. On the left hand side navigation click on Settings
3. Under Account Info click on the View button
4. Copy the shown key

Locating the Paymob IFRAME ID

1. On the left hand side navigation click on Developers → Iframes
2. Copy the number value from the Iframe card

Locating the Paymob INTEGRATION ID

1. On the left hand side navigation click on Developers → Payment Integrations
2. Copy the ID of the payment integration

Locating the Paymob HMAC SECRET

1. On the left hand side navigation click on Settings
2. Under Account Info the value next to the HMAC label
3. Copy the shown key

Adding a webhook to your Paymob account

In order to finish the setup for the Paymob payment gateway, you are required to add Orioly’s webhook within your Paymob Dashboard.

1. Contact Orioly support in order the get the Transaction processed callback and Transaction response callback links that are necessary for this setup.
2. On the right hand side navigation click on Developers → Payment Integrations
3. Click on the active payment integration (additional information will be shown)
4. Click on the Edit button 
5. For both the Transaction processed callback and Transaction response callback options copy and paste the links provided by our support in the first step of this guide
