How can I update the availability for a single departure?
In this article you will learn how to use the Single Departure closure option that enables you to manipulate the availability of your departures on an individual basis.
In order to update the availability of a departure, you need to do the following:
- On the Dashboard you need to click on the departure for which you want to update the availability for.
- Once on the Departure page, click on the Occupancy status link which will then open the options to update your availability.
Reducing the availability with price categories
You can manipulate the availability by reducing or increasing the value for each of the price categories that you have defined for the activity in question.
Note that when you are updating the availability through the price categories, you should not set any value for the maximum capacity as that option will override the values that you define on the price categories.
Reducing the availability with maximum capacity
You can manipulate the availability by reducing or increasing the value of the maximum capacity, which will in terms define the overall availability for the departure across all of your price categories.
Note that if you are using the Resource manager feature to control your availability, and if you wish to update it, you would use the maximum capacity to do so. Keep in mind that you would only be able to reduce the availability and not increase it.
Fully disable the departure
If you wish to completely close off the departure to not allow any bookings on it, you can use the “Remove all available capacities and close” checkbox option, which will automatically reduce the availability of the departure to 0.
Note that when you click on the checkbox it will automatically close off the screen and set the availability to zero, so you do not need to click on Save in order to apply the changes.
