Black Friday online shopping is continuing to grow, and this Friday will probably be another record-breaking day. The wise travel companies offer Black Friday travel deals. Here’s why you should do it, too.
For the ones who are not familiar with the term of Black Friday, let’s explain what it is. Black Friday comes a day after Thanksgiving Day in the United States. It marks the beginning and the peak of the holiday shopping season. And that’s the date when sales begin!
This year Black Friday falls on November 24th, which is perfect for generating last-minute holiday bookings, but most importantly, secure business for the dreadful Q1 2018.
In 2016, Black Friday online sales exceeded $1970 million in the US. When comparing Black Friday to a regular Friday, it is found that traffic is up 220%. It is predicted that this year digital travel sales in the US will reach $189.62 billion, 40% of which will come from mobile devices.
“Last-minute travel deals are helping to drive mobile sales, as consumers opt to book right away via their smartphones,” said eMarketer forecasting analyst Chris Bendtsen.
Consumers are booking more travel on mobile due to larger smartphone screens, easier mobile payment methods and overall time spent habits shifting to mobile.
You’ll be assured that Black Friday travel deals are adored when you hear this! People participating in the Black Friday madness predominantly buy holiday gifts ($661), travel ($336) and entertainment ($192). Customers will spend close to 30% of their holiday budget on travel, slightly more than they did last year. Most will visit the family (50%) or take a vacation (42%) while a small portion (11%) will do both.
